A Vintage fairytale wedding at Prussia Cove
Charlotte & Matthew planned the most sublime wedding celebration at one of the prettiest venues in Cornwall; Porth en Alls at Prussia Cove. Their entire wedding weekend was captured over a variety of film formats from 35mm, Polaroid, Medium Format and Super 8. We couldn’t have loved this day more, from Charlotte’s vintage french bridal gown to the linen bridesmaids dresses and floral decor. It was a romantic daydream worthy of a fairytale.
They had their ceremony at St Hilary church, one of Cornwall’s rare spired churches with a curious array of vintage paintings inside from the Newlyn Artschool. The grounds around the church are extremely quaint - it’s like being lost in time.
A string quartet lead the hymns and created such an atmosphere and florals bedecked every inch of the church looking as if the outdoors was spilling inside.
Charlotte curated a phenominal team to bring her wedding vision to life and incorporated some of the prettiest details and touches that I’ve ever seen. The wedding breakfast took place in the walled garden at Porth en Alls, Prussia Cove and the tables were adorned with more flowers than I’ve ever dreamed of, pastel pink vintage chairs, embroidered napkins and personal letters, handwritten to each guest and fastened with a little silk ribbon. The dancing hall was festooned with dyed drapery in sunshine yellows and merry pinks which had the prettiest effect and served as the backup feast location for wet weather.
We adored every detail of this wedding from linen bridal gowns to the meadow flower installations - it was like wafting about in a little Cornish romantic novel of yesteryear.
